Kites was formed originally as the drama group of the North Stockport Girl Guides but over the years gained members from outside the guiding community. Eventually in the late 1980’s it became a stand-alone organisation with the name Kites (Keep In Touch Entertainment Society) linked to Lancashire Hill Sunday School on Sandy Lane, Heaton Norris, Stockport which is now the home for all our rehearsals and meetings. Rehearsals start in September usually on Thursday evenings.

Kites is intended to give the children of Stockport a chance to take part in a theatrical production, to learn singing and dance and to meet to rehearse without the cost of a subscription to a drama school.

Our adult members also enjoy the “challenge” of a stage production and whilst we do strive for a good quality result – we do try and have some fun along the way. Performing arts are life skills and bring new levels of confidence to even the most shy individual.

We are always on the look-out for new members both on-stage and behind the scenes, and even if you think your talent is well hidden we are sure we can help you to find it! Just contact us via our hotline, facebook page or e-mail address for more details.
